History and Founding
The World Vaisnava Association is connected with a history of Vaisnava cooperation and the Visva Vaisnava Raj Sabha tradition. Its public history should be understood through dated records and the contributions of individual teachers, missions and committees, rather than through a single simplified institutional narrative.
A shared heritage
The Gaudiya Vaisnava tradition has long encouraged service, spiritual learning and respectful relationships among practitioners and institutions.
Independent institutions
Different missions preserve their own lineage, leadership and service priorities. A cooperation forum does not replace their autonomy.
Historical evidence
Names, founding dates, officeholders and historical milestones should be accompanied by traceable primary records before being described as established facts.
Present responsibilities
Historical achievements should be distinguished from the WVA’s current membership, operating programmes and authorised representatives.
The WVA is reviewing its documentary history to present an accurate, inclusive account. Readers with first-hand archival documents may contact the Association to support responsible historical research.
