Feb - 96 Srila Gour Govinda Maharaja Tirobhava (Departure from this world)
The World Vaisnava community regrets the passing away of Srila Gour Govinda Maharaja in Mayapur. As he was giving a speach about Lord Caitanya suddenly he was called by his Eternal Lord. Srila Gour Govinda Maharaja was a disciple of Srila A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. He was a moral supporter of the World Vaisnava Association, a beloved Spiritual Master of his disciples all around the world, prolific author and translator of transcendental literature into Oriya, director of the Krsna Balaram Mandir in Bhuvanesvara and well known sannyasi of the Vaisnava sampradaya. His passing from this world is very painful, even though it is so auspicious and fullfills the heart's asperation of every Vaisnava to leave this world being engaged in the service of Hari Kirtan.
